Supported Living

At Community Resources, through our state funded Supported Living contract, we offer people with varying support needs the opportunity to live fulfilling lives in the community of South Puget Sound. Supported Living gives people with developmental disabilities the accommodations to live in their own home and build their lives in the way of their own choosing.  In this support we strive to uphold these values:

  • Home:  Home is a place that helps you feel safe, comfortable, relaxed and loved and gives you the strength and grounding you need to be part of the community.  It is a special space where you are free to explore your inner cycles and express deeper feelings.
  • Relationships:  By building strong relationships you become part of the community.  Through these relationships, you learn about yourself.
  • Growth:  This is the core of life.  Inner growth is only achieved with equal parts of loving relationships and self respect.  At Community Resources we work to foster inner growth with encouragement and positive support.
  • Freedom:  Freedom means making decisions that have real significance.  By taking ownership of your own life, you find that growth is possible and learn the depth of responsibility and self worth.

We are strongly committed to upholding these values in our service to those we support on a daily basis and throughout their lives.  As growth and change happen naturally, the needs for support must also change.  We embrace change and are dedicated to maintaining consistency through all of the phases of life.
